Sharing is caring!

The fitness industry is booming and will continue to grow in 2019. It’s important to stay physically fit and eat healthy too. It’s recommended to exercise at least three times a week.

Every year there are new fitness trends and 2019 will be no different. For those of you that hate the gym, you are in luck some of these trends don’t require a gym membership.

Let the year ahead be your year to get in shape and be healthy. Which one of these fitness trends will you choose?

HIIT – High-Intensity Interval Training

This Is cardio training with short durations of high-intensity exercise. This is one of the fitness trends you can do at home without joining a gym.

Exercises Include:

  • Squat Thrusts
  • Plank-Ups
  • Flutter Kicks
  • Tuck-Ups
  • Lateral Lunges with Hops

Wearable Technology

If you look around you’ll notice many people wearing technology that keeps them fit, reminds them of their progress and tracks their steps. I reviewed many of these wearable technology trends that you can view here.

Body Weight Exercises

A lot of people don’t like using exercise machines, but you can still get a great workout from a bodyweight exercise.

Again you can do this one at home and with no need for any equipment at home either. Using your own bodyweight you will do exercises such as planks, push-ups, sit-ups, and core strengthening.

 Personal Trainers

In 2019 and beyond there will a huge increase in the need for personal trainers. If you always wanted to get paid to work out and help others get in shape this could be the career for you.

You would be helping with goal setting, working one on one with your client, motivating them to reach their desired outcome and both of you will feel good by the progress that is made.

Baby Boomer Fitness Classes

These classes focus on the needs of senior citizens and will be one of the fitness trends that will be “booming” pun intended : )

If you’d like to learn more about these classes you can check your local gym or they can direct you to a class near you. I’ve seen these classes in action and everyone has a good time as they keep fit.

Staying physically fit will always be an important part of life and is becoming more popular. These fitness trends will be on the rise in 2019 and the only question now is which one will you start next year?
